Azerbaijan Concludes EYOF Skopje 2025 with 10 Medals

The 18th European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) “Skopje 2025” has concluded in North Macedonia and Croatia.

According to the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan, over 4,000 athletes from 50 European countries competed in 15 sports, with participants aged 14 to 18.

Team Azerbaijan was represented by 52 athletes (28 boys and 24 girls) in 10 sports. The team claimed a total of 10 medals — 3 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze.

Gold medals were won by judokas Gulshen Guseynova (–44 kg), Rza Khalilli (–50 kg), and Rasul Alizade (–55 kg). Silver went to judokas Nurana Hajizade (–48 kg), Zeyd Alekserov (–60 kg), and the 10m air pistol duo Leyli Aliyeva and Oleg Kerzhankin.

Bronze medals were earned by judokas Aysun Mamedova (–52 kg), Mehti Agakishiev (–73 kg), Subkhan Akhundov (+90 kg), and taekwondo athlete Younis Guseynov (–73 kg).

Azerbaijan finished 17th in the overall medal standings. Italy topped the table with 50 medals (19 gold), followed by France and Spain. Turkey and the UK rounded out the top five.
