Azerbaijan and Georgia Deepen Security Cooperation

Head of Georgia’s State Security Service Mamuka Mdinaradze met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ali Nagiyev, who was on an official visit to Tbilisi, to discuss ways to deepen cooperation in the field of security.

According to the Georgian State Security Service, the meeting focused on key areas of the strategic partnership between the two neighboring countries and on future initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral security ties.

“The sides emphasized enhanced cooperation in information and experience exchange. It was noted that collaboration between the security agencies of Azerbaijan and Georgia contributes to reinforcing bilateral relations and plays a significant role in ensuring peace and stability in the region,” the statement said.

During the meeting, the officials also exchanged views on current regional processes and emerging challenges.

Following the talks, Mdinaradze and Nagiyev laid wreaths at the monument to Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Memorial to the Heroes Fallen for Georgia’s Territorial Integrity.
