Between January and July this year, 32,600 people in Azerbaijan were officially recognized as having a disability, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
Of these, 14,500 individuals received disability status for the first time, while 18,100 were reassessed and had their status renewed.

The ministry noted that disability determination is carried out entirely through an electronic system, based on medical data submitted by healthcare institutions. Once the status is confirmed, social benefits are automatically assigned through the same platform in a proactive manner.
