Baku, August 7 – Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is set to expand its route network this fall by launching direct flights from Baku to the Iranian city of Tabriz and resuming service to Tehran, the airline’s press service announced.
Starting September 3, 2025, AZAL will operate direct Baku–Tabriz–Baku flights twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Tabriz, a major cultural and historical center in northwestern Iran, is known for its architectural landmarks and rich heritage. The new route is expected to enhance travel and cultural exchange between Azerbaijan and Iran.
In addition, AZAL will resume its Baku–Tehran–Baku service beginning September 1. Flights to the Iranian capital will be operated four times a week—on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Tickets for both routes are available on AZAL’s official website, mobile app, ticket offices, and through accredited travel agencies.
