Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said negotiations between Armenia and the United States on the Trump Route Infrastructure Partnership Project (TRIPP) – the 42-kilometer section of the Zangezur Corridor planned to pass through Armenian territory – have slowed down due to international developments.
According to Armenian media cited by Report, Pashinyan noted that the slowdown was linked to heightened global tensions, particularly around Ukraine and the Middle East, where U.S. President Donald Trump and his administration are “directly involved.”
“We reached an agreement with the United States in Washington on August 8,” Pashinyan said. “Then came the tense situation around Ukraine and the Middle East, where President Trump and his team are heavily engaged. These realities inevitably affect the pace of the process.”

The Armenian leader added that work on the TRIPP initiative continues, with teams currently focusing on the content and structure of the project.
“We are now developing the project’s framework. Several components are on the table that need to be consolidated into a single document. This is a normal working process for any large-scale project,” Pashinyan said.
