Yerevan, August 22 — Armenia is actively preparing to reopen transport communications with Azerbaijan in line with the Washington Declaration signed on August 8, Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan told Armenpress.
According to the minister, Yerevan is not only willing but also ready to establish economic cooperation with both Azerbaijan and Turkey.
“As for economic cooperation between Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, Armenia is ready and interested. We are actively preparing to implement this program (TRIPP — the ‘Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity’) and to open transport communications with Azerbaijan in accordance with the declaration adopted in Washington and signed by the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of Azerbaijan, and the President of the United States,” Khudatyan said.

He also underlined Armenia’s readiness to reopen the Gyumri–Kars railway line with Turkey. “We have stated this publicly and believe the reopening of the railway will further strengthen regional connectivity,” the minister added.
