Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a phone conversation with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna to discuss the development of the so-called “Trump Route,” a new regional connectivity initiative that Yerevan views as key to expanding transport and diplomatic links.
According to Armenian media, the discussion focused on emerging opportunities created by the project and its potential to reshape regional communications.
During the call, Tsahkna informed Mirzoyan that Estonia plans to open an embassy in Armenia in 2026 – a move Yerevan described as a positive signal of strengthening bilateral ties.
“Estonia highly values the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan…” Tsahkna wrote later in a post on X, reflecting Tallinn’s growing engagement in South Caucasus affairs.

The ministers also reviewed ongoing programs aimed at advancing the bilateral agenda, cooperation between Armenia and the European Union, and joint efforts to counter hybrid threats.
