ERZURUM, Turkey, July 17 — Azerbaijani club Araz-Nakhchivan will wrap up its training camp in Turkey with a high-profile friendly against Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor today, in a key test ahead of its UEFA Europa Conference League debut.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 local time (17:00 Baku time) in Erzurum and marks the final preparatory game for Araz-Nakhchivan before they face Greek club Aris in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
So far during their training stint in Turkey, Araz-Nakhchivan delivered a commanding 14–0 win over Bayburtspor, played out a goalless draw with Alanyaspor, and narrowly lost 1–2 to Konyaspor.
The Azerbaijani side, which secured third place in the domestic Premier League last season, is aiming to make a strong impression on the European stage. Their first-leg clash with Aris is set for July 24 in Baku, followed by the return leg in Greece on July 31.
Today’s matchup against Trabzonspor, one of Turkey’s most established clubs, will serve as a crucial benchmark for the team’s readiness ahead of its continental challenge.
