Chengdu, August 15 – Azerbaijani kickboxer Amin Guliyev secured a silver medal at the prestigious World Games in Chengdu, China, earning another podium finish for the national team.
According to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Guliyev, competing in the 63.5 kg weight category, delivered an impressive performance to claim second place.
The World Games, running until August 17, feature 14 Azerbaijani athletes across six disciplines: acrobatic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, tumbling, karate, wushu, and kickboxing.

With Guliyev’s success, Azerbaijan’s medal tally now stands at four silvers. Previous medalists include Irina Zaretska (karate), Tofiq Aliyev (tumbling), and the acrobatic duo Daniel Abbasov and Murad Rafiev.
