President Ilham Aliyev has sent a formal letter to U.S. President Donald Trump, expressing appreciation for Trump’s correspondence and highlighting the importance of continued U.S.–Azerbaijan cooperation.
Aliyev thanked the American president for what he described as sincere words of support and acknowledgment of Azerbaijan’s efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
In his message, Aliyev emphasized Trump’s personal role in international conflict resolution, noting that his engagement “fully deserves international recognition at the highest level, including the Nobel Peace Prize.” The Azerbaijani leader praised Trump’s “resolve and sense of responsibility,” calling his leadership “a genuine example of service to global peace.”
Aliyev also voiced confidence that ongoing dialogue between Baku and Washington would continue to reinforce cooperation on issues of security and prosperity both regionally and globally.
“I extend my sincere appreciation for the spirit of mutual respect and attention reflected in your letter,” the president wrote.
