BAKU — September 3, 2025.
Baku will become a hub of Islamic culture this fall as the city hosts the first-ever cultural festival of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Ministry of Culture announced.
The event, titled “Baku – Creativity Week 2025,” will run from October 6 to 12 and is expected to gather more than 300 delegates from 50 countries and attract over 5,000 participants.
Promoting dialogue and innovation
Organizers say the festival aims to strengthen intercultural dialogue, promote Islamic values of tolerance and peace, and expand cooperation across economy, science, education, and tourism.
The program includes:
a meeting of OIC culture ministers,
MYFORUM and Creative Village for the creative industries,
the international film program Baku Cinema Breeze – 2025,
fashion shows by Eastern designers,
the G-HUB gaming summit,
as well as theater, music, and dance performances.
Cultural diplomacy
Officials note that hosting the festival reflects Azerbaijan’s growing role as a cultural bridge between East and West, positioning Baku not only as a political center in the region, but also as a beacon of Islamic cultural diplomacy.
