September 2, 2025. OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Pere Joan Pons has welcomed the OSCE Ministerial Council’s decision to shut down the Minsk Process.
In a post on X, Pons called the move “a historic step, built on dialogue between the parties,” adding that it “strengthens the path to sustainable peace in the South Caucasus” and that the Assembly will continue to support the process.
The Ministerial Council on September 1 approved the termination of the Minsk Process and its related structures, following a joint letter from the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia to the OSCE Chair-in-Office.
