BEIJING — September 1, 2025. On the margins of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for discussions focused on the peace agenda between the two countries.
The leaders emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue, mutual trust, and regional stability. Both noted the positive momentum created by the recent Washington summit, which reaffirmed international backing for peace and normalization.
Aliyev and Pashinyan agreed to maintain direct contacts as the process moves forward.
