SOFIA — Azerbaijan’s junior judo team finished outside the medals in the mixed team competition at the World Championships, beating Georgia 4–2 in the round of 16 before falling to Japan 1–4 in the quarterfinals and to Poland 2–4 in the repechage.
Earlier in the individual events, Azerbaijan claimed two bronzes: Anar Guliyev (50kg) and Zeyd Aleskerov (60kg).
