Overall, Turkish refineries produced approximately 8.37 million tons of diesel in the first six months of 2025, up 5.1% year-on-year, with June output alone climbing 11.4% to about 1.4 million tons.

Analysts note that the STAR refinery — one of the most advanced energy projects in Turkey with strong Azerbaijani investment — continues to play a vital role in both meeting domestic fuel demand and strengthening SOCAR’s strategic footprint in the Turkish energy market.
