On the eve of Lachin City Day, employees of the Lachin Restoration, Construction and Management Service visited local resident Fatma Karimova, officially listed as 100 years old.
According to Bizim.Media, the Service shared the visit on its social media page, noting that Karimova’s documents record her birthdate as July 1, 1926, in the Mahmudlu spring area of Lachin district.

But the centenarian herself insists the papers are wrong. “Back then, documents were often issued late, so my birthdate was not recorded accurately. In reality, I am 110,” she explained.
Karimova has six children and nine grandchildren, making her not only one of Lachin’s oldest residents but also the matriarch of a large family.
