Gafan, Armenia, August 25, 2025 — Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the country’s ambassadors in Gafan to discuss the follow-up steps after the August 8 Washington agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Mirzoyan highlighted the importance of the initialed peace accord, underscoring that securing lasting stability is one of the government’s top priorities. He outlined Armenia’s foreign policy vision under the new circumstances, stressing both the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
The minister emphasized that implementing the regional peace agenda and ensuring a safe, prosperous environment for Armenian citizens remain central tasks for the government and its diplomatic corps.
He also pointed to the potential benefits of unblocking regional communications, Armenia’s involvement in expanding international connectivity, and the upcoming work required to implement the tripartite declaration signed in Washington.
