Baku — Azerbaijan’s women’s 3×3 basketball team was knocked out in the semifinals of the FIBA Women’s Series Sabail stage after a heavy defeat to the Netherlands, losing 8:21.
Earlier in the day, the home side had advanced to the semifinals with a narrow 18:15 quarterfinal victory over Romania.
The Azerbaijani squad, placed in Group B, started the tournament with a tight 15:17 loss to the Czech Republic but bounced back with a convincing 21:14 win over the Philippines.
