Baku, August 22 – Azerbaijan is strengthening its position as a key destination for Pakistani travelers. The State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, together with the Pakistan Travel Mart, has organized a familiarization trip for representatives of ten leading Pakistani travel companies.
During the visit, participants explored Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage, nature-based tourism, and historical sites, while also engaging in B2B meetings with nearly 50 local companies. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation and building stronger tourism exchange between the two countries.
Direct flights from Lahore and Islamabad already connect Pakistan to Azerbaijan, making travel more accessible. The results are clear: in the first seven months of 2025, over 46,000 Pakistani citizens visited Azerbaijan — a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.
Azerbaijan’s tourism sector sees this growth not just as a statistic, but as proof that the country is becoming a favored destination in South Asia, with untapped potential still ahead.
