Azerbaijan’s Qarabağ FK took a major step toward the UEFA Champions League group stage after a commanding 3–1 away victory over Hungary’s Ferencváros in Budapest.
The match at Groupama Arena started with pressure from the hosts, as striker Barnabás Varga opened the scoring in the 29th minute. But Qarabağ responded strongly in the second half. Midfielder Marko Janković leveled the game in the 50th minute, before center-back Kevin Medina put the Azerbaijani champions ahead in the 67th.
