In January–June 2025, 7.12 million tons of cargo were transported by rail, 3.75 million tons by sea, and 5.31 million tons by road through Azerbaijan’s transport corridors, the State Statistics Committee reported.
The volume of cargo moved via the East–West corridor reached 8.3 million tons, including 4.09 million tons through the Europe–Caucasus–Asia route. The North–South corridor accounted for 4.69 million tons, the North–West corridor for 2.93 million tons, and the South–West corridor for 258,200 tons.
Transit shipments made up 45.8% of all rail cargo, 42.3% of road cargo, and 95.1% of sea cargo.
