Scandal-plagued Russian talk-show host Vladimir Solovyov — notorious for his fierce and openly pro-Armenian stance — has once again crossed all conceivable boundaries in a fresh outburst of vitriol.
On his provocative program Full Contact, the Kremlin-aligned propagandist delivered yet another tirade laced with hostility toward Azerbaijan, openly making statements that fuel ethnic animosity and risk fanning the flames of regional conflict.
“Over 300 kilometers of our border is with Azerbaijan. If Azerbaijan wants military action against us — fine,” Solovyov declared, before targeting Azerbaijan’s Lezgin minority. “Lezgins in Azerbaijan don’t have the best conditions, while in Dagestan they are treated with great respect. We can fight for their rights in Azerbaijan and fully support the Lezgin movement. Who said Azerbaijan is united? Who said its borders are inviolable?”

Such remarks, critics say, are not just another provocative jab but a calculated attempt to undermine regional stability. Solovyov, a loyal mouthpiece of the Kremlin’s agenda, continues to use his airtime as a platform for anti-Azerbaijani propaganda and destabilizing rhetoric, seeking to sow division and justify radical political aims.
