Former Qarabağ FK midfielder Owusu Kwabena is close to returning to Azerbaijan, with Apasport reporting that Turan Tovuz is among the clubs looking to sign the Ghanaian player.
The western Azerbaijan side is reportedly keen to secure a deal with the 28-year-old, who is currently a free agent after spells across Europe and beyond.
Kwabena began his professional career at Accra before moving on to clubs including CD Toledo, CD Leganés, Real Oviedo, FC Cartagena, UD Salamanca, and Córdoba CF in Spain. He later played for MKE Ankaragücü in Turkey, as well as Ferencváros TC and Zalaegerszegi TE in Hungary.
This would not be the first time Turan Tovuz recruits an ex-Qarabağ player — earlier, the club added Ibrahima Wadji to its squad, strengthening its lineup with proven talent from Azerbaijan’s top team.
