The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has appointed Bahruz Balayev as a new advisor to the chairman, bringing the total number of advisors to five.
Born in 1983 in Lankaran, Balayev holds a degree in Political Science and earned his master’s at the University of St. Thomas in the United States, where he also completed a Doctor of Juridical Science degree.
He later attended Harvard University under Azerbaijan’s State Program for the Education of Youth Abroad.
Balayev began working at the CBA in July last year as a consultant before his promotion to the advisory role.
