Sofia, August 8 – Azerbaijan’s Sabah suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat to Bulgaria’s Levski in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round.
The match, played at the Georgi Asparuhov Stadium, was decided deep into stoppage time, with Borislav Rupanov scoring the winner in the 90+8th minute.
The return leg will take place on August 14 at Alinja Arena in Azerbaijan. The aggregate winner will advance to the playoff round to face either AZ Alkmaar (Netherlands) or Vaduz (Liechtenstein).
