Las Vegas, August 7 – UFC has officially announced a high-stakes lightweight bout between Azerbaijan’s Rafael Fiziev and Brazil’s Charles Oliveira, set to headline the UFC event in Rio de Janeiro on October 11.
Fiziev, currently ranked No. 10 in the division, will take on Oliveira, the No. 4 contender and former lightweight champion, in what promises to be a pivotal clash for the title picture.
Fiziev enters the bout with a professional MMA record of 13 wins and 4 losses across 17 fights. Oliveira holds an impressive 35-11 record, with one no-contest on his résumé. The bout is scheduled as the main event of the evening.
