Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are in talks to establish a joint research and development center for artificial intelligence (AI), Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev announced on social media.

The discussions took place in Abu Dhabi during a meeting with UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber.
“We discussed expanding cooperation in AI, cybersecurity, digitalization, capacity building, organizing training programs, exchanges, and providing scholarships,” Nabiyev said.
According to the minister, the two sides also explored opportunities for joint investment and the creation of a venture capital fund.
