Sumgayit, Azerbaijan – The Sumgayit Court of Appeal has reviewed the appeal of cleric Salman Kyamiloglu, who was accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
According to Oxu.az, the appeal was rejected following the court proceedings.

The incident reportedly took place on June 22 of last year, around 7:00 PM, in the village of Masazir, Absheron district. Kyamiloglu allegedly invited the 11-year-old girl into his car on the street and committed acts of a sexual nature against her. The events were captured by a surveillance camera. An investigation was launched after the girl’s relatives contacted the police.
Kyamiloglu was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months in prison by the Absheron District Court.
