The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) held talks with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The meeting also focused on issues related to infrastructure in the renewable energy (RE) sector and gas exports.
According to SOCAR’s press service, the discussion took place during a meeting with the IMF delegation led by the head of the IMF mission to Azerbaijan, Anna Bordon.
“The parties exchanged views on current trends in the oil and gas sector, production forecasts, investment activity, and energy transition issues. They also discussed the prospects for developing infrastructure for gas exports and the use of renewable energy sources,” SOCAR emphasized.
