Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, discussed bilateral agenda items with Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
According to Iranian media reports, during a phone call, H. Hajiyev expressed condolences to the Islamic Republic regarding the loss of life during the recent escalation with Israel.
Both sides emphasized the importance of further developing bilateral relations and the need to implement agreements reached at the head of state level.
According to media sources, Ali Akbar Ahmadian plans to visit Azerbaijan. The discussions also covered preparations for the upcoming visit.
