BAKU, July 25, 2025 — Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan to discuss the ongoing normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, according to statements from both countries’ foreign ministries.
The two ministers reviewed the strategic allied relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, cooperation within regional and international organizations, and the broader regional security environment.
Bayramov provided a detailed briefing on the current state of negotiations with Armenia, outlining the status of the peace process, existing challenges, and efforts underway to overcome remaining obstacles.
Both sides also exchanged views on regional and global security developments and other issues of mutual interest, underscoring their shared commitment to stability and cooperation in the South Caucasus.
The call comes amid intensified diplomatic activity aimed at finalizing a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan, following months of direct negotiations and international mediation.
