BAKU, July 25, 2025 — Mortgage activity in Azerbaijan continued to expand in the first half of the year, with 232.9 million manats in home loans issued through the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund (MCGF), according to data released by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. This marks a 1.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The volume of mortgages refinanced by the fund also rose sharply, up 11.8% year-on-year, reaching 218.3 million manats.
Meanwhile, the MCGF raised 330 million manats through bond issuance in the reporting period — an increase of 10% from the previous year. In contrast, state budget allocations to the fund decreased by 2.7%, totaling 42.6 million manats.
The figures reflect continued growth in the housing finance sector, supported by capital markets and stable demand despite tighter public funding.
