BAKU, July 24 — Azerbaijani football club Araz-Nakhchivan secured a crucial 2–1 victory over Greek side Aris Thessaloniki in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round.
The match, held at Baku’s Dalga Arena, saw Aris take the lead in the 66th minute through Loren Morón. However, the home side responded with determination—Felipe Santos equalized in the 75th minute, and just three minutes later, Patrick Andrade netted the winner to complete the comeback.
The second leg is scheduled for July 31 in Thessaloniki, where the tie will be decided.
