BAKU, July 24, 2025 — A vibrant ceremony lit up the Sea Breeze Walk of Fame today as iconic Italian singer, composer, and arranger In-Grid was awarded her own star, joining a prestigious circle of celebrated artists.
In-Grid, renowned internationally for her chart-topping single “Tu Es Foutu”, began her journey to global fame in 1994 after winning the regional Sanremo Voice contest. Since then, she has performed at elite venues across the globe — from glamorous galas in Monte Carlo to private events in Tokyo hosted by Discografica Avex.
Her breakthrough came through collaboration with producers Larry Pignagnoli and Marco Soncini, resulting in the release of Tu Es Foutu, a song that soared to popularity across Europe. Her debut album Rendéz-Vous, featuring hits like In-Tango, Shock, and Ah l’amour l’amour, received numerous awards and certifications.
Baku has its own loyal fanbase for In-Grid, many of whom gathered at the ceremony to welcome the star in person. Her appearance on the red carpet, met with enthusiastic applause and cheers, was a highlight of the evening. Elegant and enigmatic as ever, In-Grid proved once again why her star shines so brightly, Media.Az informs.
“Salam aleykum, Baku, Azerbaijan!” she greeted the crowd warmly.
“Baku is one of the trendiest cities in the world,” In-Grid said. “All my Italian friends dream of visiting here. It’s such a beautiful and stylish place.”
She also shared that she has learned a few Azerbaijani phrases, including “çox gözəl” (“very beautiful”).
“I went through a period of discouragement due to what’s happening in the world, but now I feel reenergized — new songs are coming soon,” she revealed. “And tomorrow, I might perform Sarı Gəlin.”
The Sea Breeze Walk of Fame is the first and only initiative of its kind in Azerbaijan, created to honor outstanding figures in culture, art, and public life. It already includes 28 names such as Muslim Magomayev, David Foster, Rustam and Maksud Ibragimbekov, and Vagif Mustafazadeh. The collection continues to grow, immortalizing those who have left a mark on history.
