Azerbaijani judokas have secured two gold medals at the 18th European Youth Summer Olympic Festival.
According to the National Olympic Committee, Rza Khalilli triumphed in the boys’ 50 kg final, defeating Spain’s Alexandro Ciaroni to claim the top spot on the podium.
In the girls’ 44 kg category, Gulshan Huseynova won gold after overcoming Israel’s Yuval Gabay in the final bout.
Notably, another Azerbaijani judoka, Rasul Alizade (55 kg), is also set to compete in a final later today.
