Trump Warns Iran: U.S. Ready to Strike Nuclear Sites Again “If Necessary”

July 22, 2025 – Washington, D.C.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Iran on Monday, saying the United States is prepared to launch additional strikes on the country’s nuclear facilities if the situation demands it.

The statement came in response to comments from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who acknowledged in an interview with Fox News that recent U.S. airstrikes caused “serious damage” to key nuclear sites, forcing a temporary halt to uranium enrichment.

“Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Iran’s nuclear sites: ‘The damage is very serious, they are destroyed,’” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. “Of course they are, just like I said. And we’ll do it again if necessary!”

Trump also lashed out at CNN, calling for the network to fire what he called its “fake reporter” and demanding an apology — both to him and to the U.S. Air Force pilots involved in the operation.

Earlier, Araghchi made it clear that while uranium enrichment is currently paused, Iran has no intention of abandoning its nuclear ambitions. “It is a matter of national pride,” he said.

The escalating rhetoric follows weeks of rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, sparking renewed international concern about the stability of the region and the future of nuclear diplomacy.
