BAKU, July 19 — A new cultural initiative, Bulvarda Kino Axşamı (“Evening Cinema on the Boulevard”), has officially kicked off in the Azerbaijani capital with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the J.Jabbarly Azerbaijanfilm Studio, and the Seaside Boulevard Administration.
As reported by Oxu.Az, the project aims to promote patriotic values and national identity among young people, while also introducing Azerbaijani cinema to both locals and tourists visiting Baku.
The open-air film series began with a screening of Görüş (“The Encounter”), a production by Azerbaijanfilm, held at 8:00 PM along the popular boulevard.
In addition to film screenings, the event features an exhibition showcasing costumes, props, and technical equipment from the studio’s archives. Attendees can explore iconic outfits worn by beloved film characters and get a close look at the tools used behind the scenes in Azerbaijani cinema.
