Baku, July 18, 2025 — Azerbaijani acrobatic gymnasts Murad Rafiev and Daniel Abbasov have been officially named the overall winners of the 2025 FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup Series, according to the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation.
The announcement comes following a season of consistent and high-level performances by the Azerbaijani men’s pair across multiple World Cup stages organized by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).
Rafiev and Abbasov competed in Puur (Belgium), Burgas (Bulgaria), Baku (Azerbaijan), and Rzeszów (Poland), securing top scores at each event and ultimately earning the highest total across the series.
Their victory marks a significant milestone for Azerbaijani acrobatic gymnastics, showcasing both the athletes’ exceptional skill and the country’s growing presence on the international gymnastics stage.
