Kazakh Insurance Brokers Marsh and Aon Added to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Insurer Registry

BAKU, July 16 — The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has officially added Marsh and Aon, two major Kazakhstan-based insurance brokers, to its register of foreign insurers, reinsurers, and insurance brokers, the regulator announced.

With this move, the number of registered foreign brokers operating in Azerbaijan’s insurance market has reached 98.

In April of this year, Turkey-based Gallagher Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği was also added to the registry.

Marsh has operated in Kazakhstan since 2000, while Aon has been active since 2004. Both companies are globally recognized players in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, and their inclusion signals growing international engagement in Azerbaijan’s financial and risk management sectors.
