Kür was married to actor Can Kolukısa, with whom she had a son, Emrah Kolukısa — who followed in his father’s footsteps and became an actor.

Beyond her contributions to literature, Pınar Kür was also deeply rooted in Azerbaijan’s political history. She was the niece of Shafi bey Rustambeyli, one of the founding fathers of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1918.

Her death marks the loss of a bold literary voice and a bridge between Turkish and Azerbaijani intellectual traditions.
