Azerbaijan will be represented by nine athletes at the 18th edition of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), set to take place from July 22 to 26 in Skopje, North Macedonia.
According to the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan, the national delegation includes Farhad Guliyev, Hamid Nabiyev, Amir Ismayilov, Malyak Huseynova, Medina Huseynzade, Safiya Karimova, Iskandar Askerov, Nihad Taghiyev, and Toghrul Shahtakhtinski.
The EYOF is one of the most prestigious multi-sport events for young athletes across Europe, offering a stepping stone toward elite international competition and Olympic participation.
Azerbaijan has historically performed well at previous editions of the festival and hopes to continue that tradition in Skopje.
