Kremlin Welcomes Direct Talks Between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Abu Dhabi

Moscow, July 10 — The Kremlin has welcomed the direct dialogue held today between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Abu Dhabi, describing it as a positive step toward lasting peace in the South Caucasus.

Speaking to reporters at a press briefing, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said:

“We certainly support the fact that direct dialogue is taking place. We have repeatedly stated — at various levels — that we would welcome a swift conclusion of a peace agreement.”
