Azerbaijan’s reigning champions Qarabağ FC kicked off their pre-season training camp in Austria with a high-scoring friendly match against Ukrainian side Metalist Kharkiv.
The match ended in a dramatic 4–5 defeat for the team from Aghdam.
The friendly served as the team’s first test ahead of their UEFA Champions League campaign. Qarabağ is set to face the winner of the Shelbourne (Ireland) vs Linfield (Northern Ireland) tie in the second qualifying round of the competition.
