Iran remains committed to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and will continue cooperating with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in a post on the social platform X.
“Our cooperation will be conducted through Iran’s Supreme National Security Council due to clear security-related reasons,” he stated.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions after Iran’s parliament approved a bill on June 25 to suspend cooperation with the IAEA.
