The TRIPP transport initiative is increasingly seen as more than a bilateral infrastructure project, analyst Zaur Ibrahimli say. It represents a strategic crossroads for Armenia – whether to remain a geopolitical barrier or to become a connective hub within Eurasia.

Expert argue that Armenia has historically been positioned as a physical divider in regional logistics. Participation in the corridor would mark a shift away from that role toward economic integration and regional cooperation.

According to the vision outlined by Azerbaijan’s president, the route is not limited to Azerbaijan-Armenia transit. Instead, it aims to link major Eurasian transport arteries and trigger broader transformation across the South Caucasus.

Analyst noted that Azerbaijan is already emerging as a key Eurasian transport hub, backed by long-term infrastructure investment, competitive transit routes, and consistent transport policy.

The possible involvement of the United States is viewed as a critical factor that could boost investor confidence and strengthen security guarantees for the project, while also signaling deeper regional engagement by Washington.
