Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has approved the official working-time norms and production calendar for 2026, outlining all public holidays and designated non-working days for the coming year.
According to the ministry, and in line with the Labor Code as well as the Cabinet of Ministers’ December 2, 2025 decision defining the dates of Novruz, Ramadan, and Gurban holidays, the following days will be non-working in 2026:
January 1–2 – New Year

March 8 – International Women’s Day
March 20–24 – Novruz Holiday
March 20–21 – Ramadan Holiday
May 9 – Victory Day over Fascism
May 27–28 – Gurban Holiday
May 28 – Independence Day
June 15 – National Salvation Day
June 26 – Armed Forces Day
November 8 – Victory Day
November 9 – State Flag Day
December 31 – Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis Worldwide
The ministry also clarified additional rest days based on workweek structure:
For a five-day workweek: March 9, 25–27, 30; May 11, 29; and November 10 will be treated as rest days.
For a six-day workweek: March 25–26; May 29; and November 10 will be designated as rest days.
Officials noted that February 2026 will include 28 calendar days, and the year will have 365 days in total.
