Azerbaijan’s women’s national football team wrapped up the FIFA Tri Nations Women’s Football Series 2025 with a decisive tournament win, defeating host nation Bangladesh 2–1 in their final match.
According to Report, head coach Siyasət Askerov’s side showed control and composure throughout the game. Sevinc Jafarzade struck early in the 19th minute, giving Azerbaijan the lead, while Esra Manya sealed the victory with an 84th-minute goal. Bangladesh managed to pull one back but fell short of a comeback.
The win follows Azerbaijan’s strong 2–0 opening match performance against Malaysia, ensuring they finished the tournament undefeated.
With two solid victories and growing momentum, the team returns home as champions — a promising sign for Azerbaijan’s women’s football program ahead of next year’s international competitions.
