Azerbaijan will observe 11 consecutive non-working days in March 2026 as the holidays of Novruz and Ramadan overlap.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, March 20–24 will be public holidays marking the Novruz celebrations.
Since March 21 and 22 fall on a Saturday and Sunday, the Labor Code requires that the following workdays – March 25 and 26 – also be designated as days off.
Additionally, March 20 and 21 are officially recognized as Ramadan Holiday (Ramazan Bayramı). Under the Labor Code, when a religious holiday coincides with another public non-working day, the next working day is moved to non-working status. As a result, March 27 and 30 have also been declared holidays.
In summary, the non-working period for 2026 will cover March 20 through March 30, inclusive.
This means that all days from March 20 to March 30 –
(March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30) –
will be official public holidays in Azerbaijan.
