“AZAL operated direct flights between Baku and Amman during this year’s summer season, and we are now assessing the possibility of offering similar flights next summer. Our goal is to make the route commercially attractive enough to operate not only as a seasonal charter, but as a regular, year-round service,” Babayev said.

He added that cooperation with travel agencies in both countries will be essential to raise awareness and strengthen people-to-people ties.

According to the minister, 8,574 Jordanian citizens visited Azerbaijan between January and September 2025, a 50% increase compared to the same period last year.

“This is a strong result and a positive trend, but still below our full potential. Meanwhile, the number of Azerbaijanis visiting Jordan has grown by 105%. The overall figure remains modest, but it gives us a clear incentive to increase awareness, run promotional campaigns and create favorable conditions to encourage more travel between our countries,” Babayev noted.
