The date and venue of the next meeting within the “3+3” regional platform have not yet been determined, Armenia’s Foreign Ministry said in a written response to Sputnik Armenia.
According to the ministry, participating countries have been discussing the organization of the next session for several months, with Yerevan and Baku currently considered as the two possible host cities.
The MFA recalled that after the previous “3+3” meeting, member states agreed to set the date and location of the next session through diplomatic channels, based on a mutual understanding that the upcoming two meetings should take place in Yerevan and Baku.
“Constructive consultations on this matter are ongoing,” the ministry noted.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Moscow hopes Armenia and Azerbaijan will reach a swift agreement on organizing the next round of talks.
The “3+3” platform – comprising Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Iran, and Turkey – was launched with Russian support as a mechanism for regional dialogue following the Second Karabakh War.
Georgia has so far refrained from participating, though members have repeatedly stated that the door remains open for Tbilisi.
The first three meetings were held sequentially in Moscow, Tehran, and Istanbul.
